TED Talks - Larry Smith: Why You Will Fail To Have A Great Career

There are very few people I have ever met that I can call truly inspiring. Not just motivating, but able to make me rethink major life decisions. My dad, my step dad, and Larry Smith all fall in this catagory.

Larry taught me Economics for 3 years at University of Waterloo and in that time, I grew a fond appreciation for Economics, something I thought was never possible.

He’s also the only Prof I know to have entire websites dedicated to his quotes, but with none of them actually having to do with what he teaches. More, things like “I don’t need to impress you, I impress myself.”

All jokes aside, Larry is one of the smartest, most inspiring men I’ve ever met. Do yourself a favour and take 15 minutes out of your day to watch this, because you need to. You really need to.
